Transfered from Karamursel, Turkey in Feb, 1965. Shipped out for discharge in June 1966. Worked in Combat Operations Center with Sgt Webb, Sgt Dawson,Sgt Valkovich, Major Wildermuth, Capt Nichols,Maj. Bennett and others. Locaated under the Tiger Stadium. I used to get a big thrill out of firing up the alert siren and announcing over the base PA system \" Attention all personel, This is a Yellow Alert.Report to your duty stations\". Flew over to Majorca one weekend on a C-47. Just saw some photos of the remains of the flightline, tower, and some of the hangers. Really makes me feel old to see the weeds growing over the place I used to live.
