(Lowry: Aug64 – Jan65; Orlando: Feb65 – Jun65: Kadena: Jul65 – Jan 67: Holloman: Feb67 – Jun68). While on Okinawa I was assigned as a Mech 1 on Crew 38 Site 4B, 874 TMS. I think the LO was Capt. Byrd, Crew Chief was Ssgt Barbaux, Mech 3 was A2C Lipscomb, Mech 5 was A1C Bannister. I have many fond memories of the 498th and the great people we worked with. Thanks to Reg Zimmerman I have posted a number of his pictures of off duty life in and around 602 and 604, remember? I included photos of the Airman’s club. Check out the photo album. By the way does anyone remember “The Village Ratz”?
