Started my AF career as a Mech 1 on a launch crew at Kadena AB, site 3 in 1967. Next assignment was test equipment maintenance in the "Black Shack" at Lowry AFB. Shortly after settling in at Lowry, the Mace program was cancelled...too bad, great bird.
Did a couple of years in air-to-air missiles and then crossed trained. I spent the next 17 years in B-52's as a gunner. I enjoyed flying, but you never forget your first love, the CGM-13B.
