It seems to me that one integral unit of the Mace program has gotten short shrift. Is there anyone out there who worked the MAST system? My own experience impressed me with the speed and efficiency fot the supply technique. Was working on a bird out at Site III and needed a part that was so little needed that none were stored at forward locations -- infact, they were only at WRAMA. Anyway, I placed my order back to Sembach thinking that we will start on the yo-yo and see the part in a couple of weeks. Got the bird off and back into the follow-on area and was starting teardown, when a helicopter landed and I was called to the Maintenance shack. Guess what -- there was my part, delivered from the States within a 12 hour shift!! Found out later that it was just a fluke, that there just happened to be fighter rotation overseas and they stuck my part on one of them. But none the less, it points up the efficiency of the Missile Automatic Supply Technique.
