Joined the 6555th at Patrick in late 1953 as a newly minted 2nd Lt. Transferred to the 1st PBS as a Guidance System Officer just before the 1st left for Germany. We were in Bitburg for a short time then our detachment (I think it was Detachment 1) moved to a town called Dredorf, a very small town in central Germany. After several months in Dredorf our detachment was moved to Bremerhaven where the unit was stationed until I was discharged in November 1955.
