Was on launch crew on 'B' pad on matador in Bitburg 56-59. Have picture of the crew. At Wheelus twice, 57 & 58. Watched missle burn that is shown in photo section. My crew was next to launch which we did after fire was out. Engine quit just as JATO fired, missile went about 5 miles out before crashing. Wasn't a very good day for launching, but the fires were spectaculor. In TEMS on mace at Bitburg. Worked on building site at Rittersdorf. Site not activated when I left. Like to hear from some of the Bitburg people.
