Launch crew tech #3. Discharged March 3, 1965. Live in Seattle, wife Judy. Loved finding this site !! Great job !! Trained in Denver and Orlando. Assigned 71st TMS Bitburg Germany. LO was Capt Clifford Kunkel, crew chief was Warren Reidmiller, SSGT. I sleep walked thru so many 12 hour shifts in the 'Hole', you could give me a head set, and a check list, and I could sleep walk thru another shift anytime ! The worst was always changing the darn nose the previous crew knew was bad, but left for you ! right ??? When we got 'short', I have to admit we left the rookies with a few bad 'Noses' ourselves. We figured they needed the experience ! How about those electric toilets? Where they great or what? It was only used once in my three years, and it smelled so bad, we tried to evacuate the site, but the Air Police at the gate made us return. They and the darn dog had a very small sense of humor !!
