I retired from the AF civil service in 1998. I was the AF Systems Program Director for the Strategic Automated Command Control System (SACCS) and Hac Rampe and all of it upgrades and configurations, and reporting system to USSTRATCOM at Offutt AFB. I reported directly to the Defense Acquisition Commander and Assistant Secretary of Air Force for Acquisition. SACCS sent out the emergency force direction messages to the various missile sites and TRIAD defense systems. It also provided feedback battle damage reports, along with military mobilization and deployment messages. Prior work expereience, I was a technical representative for Aerojet Corp on the prototype and production of the Titan 1, Titan II, Titan III, Mercury, and Apollo series missiles. I also worked on the Polaris system. I left Aerojet in 1967. I think your effort is outstanding. Keep up the good missile work. John Schance, Retired Systems Program Director/SACCS USAF
