HERE IS THE OBITUARY FOR MAX FROM HIS DAUGHTER MICHELLE THAT WAS WRITTEN AT THE MEMORIAL SERVICE FOR MAX. THE PICTURE IS OF FRANK ROALES AND MYSELF WITH OUR "MISS L RESTORATION TEAM" SHIRTS IN HONOR OF MAX AND THE WORK HE DID ON THE RESTORATION. I HOPE YOU CAN PUT THE PICTURES AND THE OBIT TOGETHER. BY THE WAY, THE PICTURE OF THE MACE SYMBOLIZES MAX RIDING ON THE MACE INTO THE SUNSET.

MAX BUTLER SR. WAS BORN ON JANUARY 15, 1940 IN MT VERNON, IN.   HE ENTERED INTO HEAVEN ON OCTOBER 27, 2024.  MAX WAS THE SON OF VERA CARY AND NORRIS BUTLER.

MAX HAD THREE SISTERS, GLENNA, ELAINE, AND SHERRY, AND ONE BROTHER, JIMMY.  MAX HAS FOUR CHILDREN, BART, MICHELLE, MAX JR AND KENT.  HE ALSO HAS MANY GRANDCHILDREN AND GREAT GRANDCHILDREN AS WELL AS NUMEROUS NIECES AND NEPHEWS.

MAX SERVED IN THE UNITED STATES AIR FORCE AND WOULD PROUDLY TALK WITH ANYONE ABOUT HIS SERVICE AND WHAT HE CONSIDERED HIS BABY, A MACE MISSILE THAT SITS AT THE INDIANA MILITARY MUSEUM.

MAX WORE MANY HATS IN HIS LIFE TIME.  HE WAS A TRUCK DRIVER, A FIREFIGHTER, A CORONER, AND A DISPATCHER.

MAX WAS MARRIED TO LOIS BUTLER FOR 19 YEARS.  THEY TRAVELED THE COUNTRY AFTER HE RETIRED AND THEY SETTLED IN EUSTIS, FLORIDA WHERE SHE STILL RESIDES.

HE LOVED TO SING, DANCE, AND PLAY A BEAT BOX AT THE COMMUNITY CENTER IN THE RETIREMENT COMMUNITY WHERE HE AND LOIS LIVED.

MAX WILL BE DEARLY MISSED BY FAMILY AND FRIENDS.
