Hey Guys, Reunion at Dayton is fast approaching, and what a reunion this is going to be. Had a member call me last week asking about someone that is attending the reunion. Saw his name on the attendee list and was wondering if it coiuld be the same guy he has been looking for, for over 45 years. Turned out it is his long lost friend. It will be a great reunion between these two at Dayton. All because of the internet. If anyone coming to the reunion has any momento\'s from those \"wonderful\" years, please bring them along so we may display them in the momento room at the hotel. See y\'all in July in Dayton. Max

Hello all you wonderful former Missileers. The Dayton, Oh. reunion, 15th-18th July,2009 is fast approaching. All the daily events are in place, even left most of Friday open, for you guys and gals, that like to knock that little white thingie around. To date, there are over 300 planning on attending. Everyone needs to get there registration forms and that green stuff mailed in to me. Would rather not be 'guessing' if someone is going to attend. Newsletters will be going out in about a week with lots of reunion info as well as a list of members that advised me to put them on the reunion list, a few months ago. I would like to hear from you, as to wheather you still will be attending. I am really excited about all the Sembach Missileers, that have decided to attend. Looking forward to meeting you all. (Thanks Russ) For those that have never attended a reunion, you are really missing a great time. Its so heartwarming to witness someone recognize a former friend from over 40-45 years ago. I've even seen a few damp eyes. Of course, the one question that usually gets asked, is, 'What happened to your hair'? Oh well, the only time I worried about fall out, was on the launch pad. Max
All set for the big reunion in Daytin OH, know it will be a lot of fun. Good to have enough time to just remember the good old days. Walter & Evelyn
Charlie Smoote is still hanging around just trying to stay out of trouble. I'm still fishing, making fishing rods and puttering about. C2

For those who served at Sembach from 1962-1964, Launch Officer Charles C. Cage passed away in June, 2004. Following his tour at Sembach, he returned to flying and was an instructor at Williams AFB, had a tour in Vietnam flying the A-1 Skyraider, and was at Sheppard AFB as an instuctor on the T-38. He retired as a Major after 20+ years.

Hello to all my old buddies from Hahn AB. I served as a FLT Control Tech at Site V 1962-65.
Just a small change in my email address. martyandlinda@windstream.net

Change of email address
To Hadley Ward- I was CC of crew 5, Site 1 and we were in the hole that night. Soon after the Pueblo affair came in on the teletype, the red phone rang with a order to destroy the warheads. As we got the shape charges out, we wondered if the whole world had gone nuts. The red phone soon rang again and a different voice said disregard the previous message and it is only, repeat only an exercise! I figure someone got their rear chewed over that mistake. (I purposely am leaving out the codes for the real thing and the exercise.)
I was part of the early guys to activate the sites as the construction was completed.I was eventually made crew chief and had my hands on nearly every bird (33) in the unit, and visited all four sites many times for pulling the birds for reg. maint., for warhead convoy & inst. and those middle of the night calls for inverter repl. Had a ball on Oki.,worked hard, played hard, and was disapointed on ret.to states to SAC., and 'Hounddog'
Note email change. I was awarded the Master Missile Badge in 1962 when it first came out, I had to solder the master wreath from a aircraft master badge to a basic missile badge. I am still alive and kicking in Pensacola Florida. Still building fishing rods and fishing. Would like to hear from some of the 'old' guys from Orlando 1955-1958; Formosa 1958-1960; Orlando 1960=1963 and Okinawa (Site 4) 1963 to 1965. C2
I was with the 38th Air Police/K-9 squadron. Would like to reconnect with any old 'dogmen'. Best job on base. Dogs didn't recognize rank and if you happened to enter my patrol area without authorization, well your but was his to chew. Miss my old dog. One of the best friends I ever had.
