2021 Reunion Query

Based on the COVID-19 pandemic, Max Butler is asking TAC Missileers members for their thoughts regarding moving forward with planning for the 2021 TAC Missileers Reunion in Nashville, TN.

Max has advised:

“I do want to go ahead and lock in the reunion dates at this point. They are Sept. 21st-24th, 2021. These dates seem to be the consenses from the feedback I’ve been getting. As time passes, we at some point will need to decide if the reunion will be a “go” or a “no” go. I think this will need to be decided by the end of July or middle of August. This should give everyone time to make cancellations if need be. Of course I’m really hoping that the COVID situation will have abated greatly by the end of July next year. Time will tell.”

“My plan at this point is to drive up to Nashville about the middle of next month to “scope” out some hotels. I especially want to check out the Embassy Suites that we stayed at in 2005 which is at 10 Century Blvd. Maybe they will give us a good deal when I show them that we stayed there in 2005.”

“You might ask the membership what their thoughts are regarding moving forward with the planning of the reunion.”

Vaccine news is encouraging. We should be good to go. The 2005 Nashville reunion was great. Embassy Suites took good care of our members.

Assuming it is safe would mean we have beat COVID-19 and that in itself requires a celebration. I can't think of a better group to share in that jubilation.

Unfortunately, most of us are in the extreme vulnerable category. Hopefully the vaccine will be well distributed by that date. Also Max, I have stayed at the Holiday Inn near the Grand Old Opry several times and it is nice. I don't know if it is set up for conventions, but suspect it may be.
