I remember that there were three squadrons that made up the 498th.The 873rd, 874th, and the 498thMMS which I was a member of, yet I see no mention of it on the site am I the only one that was in the 498th MMS? We even had our own patch, which I am now going to spend the next 6 months trying to find among my things. The launch guys wore the black hats and we had red ones.
Thank you to Max, Joe, and everyone that did such a nice job making the Nashville reunion a great sucess. We enjoyed getting together with all our old friends from years past.It was so great seeing Christel & Walter, Marion & John,Fred & Geisla & Linda and Robert. Looking forward to the next reunion in Az.
Joe, Max, Staff and all my friends: Many thanks for all the help you afforded me. And thanks for for those who did not laugh when the wife mowed down the trees at the dinner :~) I was extremely impressed with the smoothness that everything went, you all did one great job. I know it was a lot of effort on everyones part including the wives who did the registration etc. God willing, we will be in attendance in Tucson.
Just wanted to drop a line about those who put so much of themselves into the reunion event as well as the whole Missileer proccess. These people do this because of thier dedication to the Missileers and patriotism to thier country. again thank you so very much for the great re-union and the Missileer web site.I know I realy enjoyed it. The Boat/dinner was great and aforded us the opportunity to vist with some military buddies from the past. Thanks again Roger
To our Officers and all the help that made Nashville a success goes my 'Thanks'. These people do not do it for the money. I would imagine that no amount of money could get them to put that kind of work into such a great event. They truly love our outfit and do it for our Missile Groups. If you missed Nashville, we have another one that will be along shortly. Keep in touch by your E-Mails and viewing the Web site. Again, my 'Thanks' to them for their hard work! We do have great leadership!

Has anyone seen or heard from Richard S. Harris? Sometime around '76 he was headed to Arizona, but that is the last time I have seen him. Would like to say Hello. Roy
Hello fellow Missileers, Looking forward to seeing everyone in Nashville. Those that were in attendance in Denver in 2003, know what a great time that was. Nashville is going to be just as great, if not better. We the staff have been made aware of members that are not able to attend the reunion because of health issues. You all will certainly be in our thoughts and prayers. If there are any former Missileers out there that would like to become a member of the TacMissileer's, please contact me by e-mail or by phone at 812-783-2690, preferably after 6- PM. Thanks, Max R. Flight Controls on Launch Crew 6, from Aug 1959 to Aug 1960.
I was in electronics training at Lowery AFB in Nov '53 thru Jul '54. Went to the 69th at Patrick AFB Jul '54 and helped pack them for Germany. I then was in the 11th in Orlando and fired several Matadors off the Cape. In Jul '56, I was shipped with the 11th to Sembach, Germany with 13 months left in the Air Force. Spent several weeks at Wheeless AFB in Libya. I was discharged in Jul '57 at Manhattan Beach Naval Station on Long Island.
Just updating e-mail. See you in Nashville.
updating email, finally got DSL. See you at the reunion, davidjessup310@qwest.net
We're wondering where we pay for the upcoming activities in Nashville...we've made our intentions known about attending all. Thanks.

I just saw on the webb site you have some photos from Bushele. When I was with the 7502 MUNSS at Norvenich GAB, our one of our sister Munitions Support Squads was also there. (7501 MUNSS)1976-79. Any other nukers know about these sites. Hahn AB was our US Command Base.
I would love to connect with some of the guys who made my stay in Germany so 'interesting'. I remember more about Kaiserslautern and 'mama hawks' than I do my 30 years as a civil service employee. I hope to make the reunion in Nashville if at all possible.
Max Butler maxbutler11540@sbcglobal.net I'm waitin to hear from you. Been in touch wi/Ted Hollins/Fudd fellers/Bob Fick (a while back). Just finished reviewing the entries and had to comment on Joe Perkins entry of 3/4/05. Yes, we are senior Airmen of various ranks, however I would invite the younger Daughters and Sons of the missile men and women to search the pages and see if they find someone who looks familiar. In addition, post an entry with your family name and see if you might connect with one of us who do remember you at one of the bases. I have made several connections just by surfing around, after viewing the member list and the entries in the guestbook. In addition, there are groups from several of the military schools that have some great sites. It is that effort that will continue this group for the years to come. Again, to our Officers I again say 'Thanks' for your dedication to this organization.
