Trained at Lowry, Orlando and onto Sembach, assigned to the 822 and some Tdy to the 887 at Grunstad. Selected to assist with the Training Site transition from Matador to Mace in 1993 and remained after the completion as NCOIC until Aug 1966 when reassigned to the 6595 Aerospace Test Wing at Vandenberg AFB,CA. Met a lot of fine crews from Sembach and Hahn we trained at the Mace Training Site. Had 5022 runs on this site when it was decomissioned. Germany was the best tour of my 30 year AF career. Great fun renewing old friends at Orlando this year.

I was with the 11thPBS in Fla.then in Sembach,Ger. 1954-1957 I started this by looking for a way to get a 701st Tactical Missle Wing patch for a collection and I ran across the web site and was floored that there have been reunions etc. Fantastic.

Radar guidance(MSQ-1A)!! Anyone recall that? After the missiles were in the air , they had to be guided. Would like to hear from anyone that was in the TM-61C squadrons at these times and places.

i see so many comments from guys that had to be in the same places as i was, but don't recognize many names. i was at orlando from oct. 61 till june, 62, then to kadena, 498mms until dec. 63.i was part of the guys who uncrated, assembled, and activated most of the 'B' birds, (hardsite). we had 33 birds, all but one active, it was cannibalized down to a shell since parts were so hard to get. i also remember middle of the night trips out to the sites to change out the ever failing inverters.sure would like to see some familiar faces at olando
