I just wanted everyone to know my new e-mail and to say I did find another of my teamates from Korea. or he found me. his name is Manny Clothakis he was one of our Special weopons guys. I live in Indiana now and get to wright pat now and again I always get to stand and look at the old Matador and Mace missiles they have in front of the entrance. They have the new hanger done and are working on the cold war area's now.there is one thing i would like to see and that is tac missiles represented in the garden outside the air force museum. there are plaques from a lot of units but no Tach missile ones.
In my previous comments I should have indicated the time period I was interested in was 1959-1963 at Sembach.
Just an up date on some new memorbilia associated with the TacMissileers. We now have the TacMissileer license plates, one with the missile insignia on each side of the TacMissileer logo. The other plate has the Senior missile insignia on each side of the logo. Also taking orders for jackets with the TacMissileer '10' logo on the back with your choice of your old unit lettering above and below the logo. Also have old unit patches, 586th Tactical Missile Group, 38th Tactical Missile Wing, 498th TMG, 310th TMS, 69th TMS,701st Tactical Missile Wing. Let me know if there is a unit patch you would like to have. Most likely I can get it produced. Prices range from $10.00 to $15.00, depending on how many stitches are in the patch. Max R. I had the distinct pleasure of serving with some of the Air Force's Best while in the guided missile program. Denver 59-60; Orlando AFB 60-62; Hahn 62- 66. Can't remember all the names, but your guest book entries sure bring back some fond memories. I worked at Site V as a mech I for a couple of months then went to the training site for the rest of my tour. I worked as a substitute mechanic and later as substitute crew chief occasionally on all 3 sites.
TheWebsite is really nice. I will check every so often for more information. Keep up the good work.
Just checking in with my new email address. Anybody know Hank Tracy's email address?
Went to Electronis school in Denver in 1959 and to Orlando that fall. Went to factory school in Blatimore 1960. Went to Det#2 at Patrick in 61. Bitburg in 64-67. Retired in 71 at Barksdale AFB and still live in Bossier City, La.
Signed in on 5/ 15 / 02 and have not heard from anyone. Maybe all the guys are dead by now. I know of a few that passed, but I'm only 68 and I would like to hear from anyone still kicking.
I was also with the Mace program at Orlando, 1962- 1964.

Great website! I sent my $15 and joined the Missileers. In fact I've found several of the guys I served with at Lowry, Orlando and Osan. I'm looking forward to finding more and adding an Orlando/Osan section, with pictures,to the Missileers web page. Anyone interested can contact me @ 816-436-6108 or at Goldenri@aol.com.
My father Philip Houde was in the 36 missile maintaince squad. in Hahn and Seimbach during the 60's he wore the missile badge and worked on the TM- 76 Mace Missile my father passed away several years ago but this sight reminds me about him. I have several pictures at home please right me if you knew him.
Great website! I've been looking for Matador information like this. I recognized Sgt.David Jessup from his picture. He use to make great homemade beer when he was at Orlando AFB. I was in one of the classes with the NSM designation. Instead of 31250G, we were designated 31250NSM (No Specific Missile) Another of the Air Force better ideas. You can contact me at 816-436-6108 Ron
Just an update on my e-mail address. Didn't see many support squadron people at the Denver reunion. How about a bunch showing up at Nashville? I'll be there God willing.
