Worked on the 'A' Bird guidance system. Took over as crew chief from Ken Collingwood - remember him, great guy. Also remember SMS Fournier and Tsgt Bill Thomas? My only problem is I can't remember the site number - I think it was 5. While looking through the e-mail notes I saw some great old names - Lyscik, Martin, Esposito, Maas, Wiese, Dahl, Ruiz, Glazer and Renninger (I thought I was the left fielder on that softball team). Anyone heard from Bayliss, Quatrochi, Putnam, Doi or Heymans? Remember Lautzenhausen and all those bars?

Thanks guys you really made my day. I have a lot of great memories of Germany, Bitburg & Sembach, the Air Force and the guys I was stationed with. I've been looking for a site like this for sometime. Today I received the Missileer News and decided to check the site out.

Really great to see everyone in Grapevine, We need to get more 586th people there next year. Marty Dave and Chico all looked great. Someone please help me get a hold of Joe Ellis, he lives in Paliuyup (S) Washington. No Phone # or e-mail address that works. I was the left fielder for the award winning 586th softball team. and occasionally worked at site 6. Most off duty hours were spent in the 'Cave' in kirchburg. Raced micro midgets (#76)

I went through Guidance School at Lowry late '59 and early '60 then on to the 310th TMS at Osan. Anyone remember the 1960 shots from the old Northwest Air Base on Guam?

How about that, this is great. Found you in the reunion section of today's (8-13-00) Newsday edition (Long Island, NY) placed by Julian Esposito. I was assigned to 589th C&G Sq. and 4504th MTW. Unfortunately I can't make it to Dallas due to other commitments. However, keep me posted for next year in Orlando. Sincerely, Norbert Koenig

I was sent to Sembach in 1957. Relocated to Hahn after only 3/4 Months at Sembach. Was in Africa for 1958 shots. Anybody remember the bird that would not come down??? Was also TDY to Bitburg. Spent most of the time at Hahn with 586 C. & G. Sq. Det. #2 (Idarkoph). Was also north of Hahn back in the woods. After Det. #2 closed was sent back to Hahn and assigned to 586th Group and worked offbase in the underground building next to offbase NCO club. Really enjoyed all of my time in Germany. Any other Crypto Operators out there ?? Donald Rhodd

My missileer time was spent at Hahn from Mar 60 thru Jul 63 mostly at site V. I have very fond memories of our generator room and the number of times those generators gave us all trouble. I recognized many of the names on the list and would like very much to see you all again. I'm planning to attend the Orlando reunion so put me on the list for two people. My e-mail address is: painef@msn.com. Thanks Joe and Gary for all your work in this undertaking.

Hi, GREAT SITE!! I'll be back 🙂 I really LOVE the Mace Missile and Teracruzer. Soon I will built a 1:32 model, based on the old Renwal (1958) kit. I have some information/documentation about this interesting weapon system. For your information. I have a big US Army Modeling Site with the name MIL-MOD: www.mil-mod.nl MIL-MOD has also 10 Newsgroups. Soon there will be on MIL-MOD a big historical article about the Mace/Teracruzer, incl. many photos. I hope you will have a visit. Thanks from Holland, Wim Vink
